Comic con is over and now we all must go back to our normal lives, boo! Actually, working at the convention made for hectic but super fun weekend and I was happy to get home to my kids and my bed. After a few days home, I was already thinking about the next con. If you have never been and hesitant, do it! You will have a blast. Just a couple tips: 
- Wear comfy shoes.
- Bring extra spending money because you will want to buy everything.
- Plan ahead! There is a lot to do and you may need to map out your day before you hit the convention floor, just so you don't miss anything.
- Let your nerd flag fly! Comic con is not the place to hide your nerdy passions. Let them out!

One of my favorite things to bake is pie and it's for totally nerdy reasons. I love that pie crust is so fun to play around with. Cake decorating is fine and dandy, but I think pie decorating is wayyyy more fun. 

Anyone who has been to my house knows that my husband has a mild obsession with our raspberry bush. The thing is monster, seriously. We have a ton of frozen berries just waiting to be used. I think it's time.

But what to do with the crust? Here are some old favs: 

I am in the full swing of editting and it is crazier than I thought it would be. My editor is shining, golden princess and gave me the most amazing feedback so I have working through all of her comments with ease. What makes it all crazy is going back to a book I haven't worked on for years. 

Writers grow and that's totally normal but I can't help how annoyed I get with "Old Me." "Old Me" really liked dialogue tags and smirking. Seriously, everyone smirks like 87 times a chapter. The amount of smirking is crazy. 

NOBODY smirks that much. Not even Ian Somerhalder. 

But, like I said, I have a great editor and she pointed this out in her very kind way. It's an easy fix but it still drives me nuts.
